Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull begins in 1957, set in the Nevada desert and see’s Harrison Ford return in his role as the iconic, snake-loathing hero, Indiana (Indy) Jones after almost a 20 year gap since his last outing in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Indy is joined by his former lover Marion Ravenwood (Karen Allen) and their son Mutt Williams (Shia Labeouf) as well as the renowned Jon Hurt and Ray Winstone.

At the height of the Cold War, Indiana has barely escaped after a close scrape with Soviet agents. The professor returns home to Marshall College only to find that the university have fired him. On his way out of town, Indy meets Mutt, a young rebel with a proposition for the adventurous archaeologist. If he helps Mutt on a mission with very personal stakes, Indy will make one of the most incredible archaeological finds in history, the Crystal Skull of Akator.

As Indy and Mutt reach the remote corners of Peru, they begin to realise that they are not alone in their search amongst a land of ancient tombs and forgotten explorers. The Soviet agents are hot on the trail for the Crystal Skull, including the icy cold and devastatingly beautiful Irina Spalko (Cate Blanchett). They believe that the Crystal Skull has the power to unlock secrets which will help the Soviets dominate the world.

Through a trail of mystery, Indy and Mutt set out the find the Crystal Skull whilst trying to evade the Soviet military unit and stop the precious artefact falling into the wrong hands. As always, the path is full of adventures.
